LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA — Tarik Skubal is scheduled to start Game 1 of the National League Division Series for the Dodgers against the Braves on Saturday, per MLB.com coverage.
MLB’s postseason schedule lists Atlanta at Los Angeles Game 1 for Saturday, Oct. 3, at 4 p.m. ET on FOX, FOX Deportes and FOX One. MLB.com reported that Los Angeles chose the left-hander over Yoshinobu Yamamoto for the opener and that Saturday will be Skubal's first home start in the postseason, after six playoff starts with Detroit. An MLB.com Dodgers preview says Atlanta brings an injury-depleted rotation into the series and projects that the Braves could use a left-handed opener, possibly Brent Suter, before turning to Grant Holmes. NLDS Game 2 is listed for Sunday, Oct. 4, at 8 p.m. ET on FS1, FOX Deportes and FOX One.
